Tourists from all over the world are attracted by the great adventure of the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, adventurous travelers who come to explore the fantastic nature, the beauty of the landscape and the archaeological sites that surround the Inca Trail, known as the most famous Trekking in South America. This tour is ideal for those who come charged with energy to take a walk to Machu Picchu. The Inca Trail is subject to availability. According to the income capacity assigned by the Ministry of Culture Cusco.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Km. 84 – Wayllabamba (Foods: A,C)
We will start the tour with the pick up from your hotel around 04:30am- 5:00am hrs. We go from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and then to Kilometer 84 where we will make our registration to enter the Inca Trail and we will meet the cooks, the porters and other personnel that will accompany us during our great adventure.

From Km 82 we begin a light walk that lasts approximately 2 hours until we reach Miskay, where we can rest and have lunch. Then we will continue with a walk of 3 to 4 hours until we reach Wayllabamba.

On the way we will appreciate the archaeological group of Patallacta (place of rest). Finally, in Huayllabamba we will prepare for dinner and spend the night in camping tents.

• Total Walking Time 5 – 6 hours (12 km.) – Initial Altitude 2750 m – Final 2954 m.
• Overnight at the camp in Wayllabamba (Altitude: 2954m, 9694ft).

Day 2: Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo (Foods: D,A,C)
This day, very early in the morning we will enjoy a delicious coca tea and then we will have our breakfast.

We start with the walk that lasts about 5 hours until we reach the top of the mountain called Warmihuañusca. From there you will have an impressive panoramic view of the Andes Mountain Range and its surroundings. After a break from the route considered the most difficult, we will continue with the descent for approximately one hour until we reach our lunch area that will be prepared by the cook.

Next, we will continue the tour until we reach Pacaymayo, where we will have the rest of the day to relax, have dinner and spend the night in the camping tents.

• Total Walking Time 8 hrs (16 km.) – Initial Altitude 3,000 m – Final 3,800 m.
• Overnight at the camp in Pacaymayo (Altitude: 2650m, 8692 ft)

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Wiñay Wayna (Foods: D, A, C)
On the third day, after breakfast, continuing with the route of the Inca Trail, we leave Pacaymayo, pass through the archaeological site of Runkuracay, resting place and continue walking until we reach Sayaqmarca, where after appreciating its Inca constructions, we will make a stop in a comfortable area for lunch.

Later, we will continue the walk until we reach Wiñaywayna, where the tents will be set up for dinner and spend the night.

• Total Walking Time 8 hrs (16 km.) – Initial Altitude 3800 m – Final 2,650 m.
• Overnight at the camp in Wayllabamba (Altitude: 2650m, 8692ft)

Day 4: WiñayWayna – Machu Picchu (Foods: D)
We will get up for breakfast very early, as we will have a two-hour walk from Wiñaywayna until we reach the Puerta del Sol or Inti Punku, here the Inca Trail officially ends. From this place we can admire the great beauty of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.

After taking a break and relaxing, we will begin the long-awaited visit to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours. We will visit the most important places, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Cemeteries and much more.

At the end of the guided tour you will have free time to continue exploring, take photos and enjoy one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. At a convenient time you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch in peace, you can visit the thermal baths or take a walk through the town and craft market.

At 6:30 p.m. we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there we will take the bus that will bring us back to the city of Cusco. We will be finishing this adventure around 10:30 p.m.

• Total Walking Time 2 hrs (4 km) – Initial Altitude 2650 m – Final 2,400 m.
• Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo, travel by bus back to the city of Cusco.
